In Order To Really Live

To really live is to live spiritually, and such a life begins when one is filled with the Holy Spirit. He receives a new nature— the nature of Christ. He becomes a new creature, with new desires, new attitudes, new goals.

Man was created with the capacity and inborn desire for communion and fellowship with God. For this reason, he can never be happy with material things alone. Only the abundant life which Jesus gives brings lasting happiness and peace.

Even in his most carefree moments, mortal man is vaguely troubled by the blight of insecurity. Earthly life must end; material possessions must be relinquished. The more abundant life, however, is eternal. It will never end, and its blessings never cease.
